I realized something a while back…. I had gotten into the habit of making promises to myself and then finding every reason in the world why it was okay not to keep them. And goodness, I could rationalize just about every one of them. 😅 So I started reminding myself of something: “I can’t expect to keep promises to others if I can’t even keep promises to myself.” Then, at the Elevate conference, I heard a statement that went right along with what I’d already been telling myself. “Discipline bleeds.” And isn’t that the truth?! I can’t expect discipline to show up in my business if I’m not practicing it in other areas of my life. I think sometimes the easiest person to let down is ourselves. Because we tell ourselves, “It’s just me. It’s fine.” But I’ve come to realize there’s so much power in keeping those promises to ourselves, even the little ones. Especially the little ones! ❤️ Because commitment is commitment, even when nobody else is watching. ❤️ Anybody else ever catch themselves doing this? #dontgiveup #noexcuses #committed
